2025 In Focus (Day 30)

Numbers 14:20-24

Then the LORD said, “I have pardoned, according to your word. But truly, as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD, none of the men who have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have put me to the test these ten times and have not obeyed my voice, shall see the land that I swore to give to their fathers. And none of those who despised me shall see it. But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.

So many times we get close to the promise of God, but some issue comes to the forefront that impedes our progress. Churches, organizations, families, and other groups of people sometimes delay themselves from seeing the fulfillment of a promise. Because of delay, we begin to question whether or not we will ever see The end of the road.

I have discovered that many people can get in the way of a good thing. When you assemble enough egos in one room, a good thing can be missed because of group think and toxic fear. The world has adopted the idea That manifesting great things is better than actually taking the path. God would layout for us to obtain every promise.

Imagine, believing lies and fear from people that say they want better. They have seen everything that God has promised with their own eyes, yet they are willing to muddy every bit of the water and suggest that God is not true to God‘s word. Imagine being in literal walking distance of everything you have ever heard only to be shut out by your rebellion and disobedience. Now imagine you have to wait for others to die off so you can finally Embrace the totality of the promise of God.

In this new season of life, I can only offer one thought when it comes to dismissing yourself from group thinking. I want to go to Heaven. If you want to go to hell, don’t take me with you. Go all the way to hell by yourself. Never again, let anyone drag you to a place, idea, or season that does not belong to you.

2025 In Focus (Day 29)

II Chronicles 7:14

if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The word of the day is pivot. For whatever reason, God did not allow me to rest without hearing this word constantly. I realize that I have different issues that can cause me not to sleep well. However, pivot just would not leave my brain.

In basketball, you are taught to be mindful of your pivot foot when you have stopped dribbling. Being able to pivot suggests that you have the capacity to turn at the right time. Every person must have the capacity to turn when necessary.

Many of us have plans that we want to fulfill. Those ideas and concepts have been God-given. We even have the drive to work through challenges to see those things come to pass. Yet, God may call an audible for us to address something more immediate. Sometimes, we must address circumstances that require more attention.

We must have the humility to remember our calling and pray about every circumstance. We must seek the face of God so that we’re always in line with the will that must be done. Otherwise, we will have submitted ourselves to the evil that is present and become complicit in its prevailing due to our silence before God.

2025 In Focus (Day 28)

Isaiah 54:16-17

Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and produces a weapon for its purpose. I have also created the ravager to destroy; no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from me, declares the LORD.”

Every person has an opinion about what a person should be. Most ideas are based on the influences of their environment. When people look through their biased lens, they discover many individuals refuse to come into focus for their convenience.

When we subject ourselves to the agendas of others, we face a unique moment where we must choose to walk in the totality of our inheritance or forfeit it to bow down to unsanctioned pressure.

God has told us that the creative genius behind humanity’s creation was a Heaven’s original. Yet, that intricate design has made decisions on what position they want to take. The ones who choose the righteous path have access to everything necessary to survive the attacks, opinions, and unsolicited conjecture that others may produce.

The righteous must always remember that the prosperity of evil is predicated upon our desire to forfeit our inheritance. Remember that you are a kingdom citizen with access to the covering that will protect you from the attacks of enemies near and far. The moments may come that may rock us to our core, but we will always find ourselves standing tall. Why? This reality is our inheritance from a irrefutable trust established in heavenly places.
