2025 In Focus (Day 15)

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Health experts say that part of a healthy diet includes fruits and vegetables. Sometimes, some fruits and vegetables might not be the best for individual diets. The premise makes perfect sense. Many people live their entire lives on a vegetarian or vegan diet. I believe there’s one key to fruits and vegetables being unnecessary part of one’s diet. Those fruits and vegetables must be free of contaminants.

The scripture says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. However, the most important part of the scripture is after understanding the power. It says whatever we speak we will eat the fruit of it. Imagine eating your words. What would they taste like? Would your words be sugary and cause diabetes? Would your words be salty and cause high blood pressure? Or could your words bring health, wealth, and strength to your overall being?

We must make sure that we examine what we eat. While life and environment may cause a great deal of harm to us, we might want to assess our own self-destructive attitudes. You don’t need anyone to be your enemy to destroy you. A negative tongue from your own body can kill you quicker. Change your diet. Change your life.
